Legacy Land Trust

Legacy Land Trust offers land conservation strategies to protect farm, ranch and natural lands in northern Colorado. The mission of Legacy Land Trust is to conserve and protect key natural, scenic and agricultural lands of northern Colorado that make this region a special place to live and work.

Colorado Land Conservation

The three-county service area of Legacy Land Trust includes Larimer, Jackson, and Weld Counties. Each of these counties has unique ecological, physiological, and cultural characteristics that are not only valuable for conservation on their own, but form a comprehensive region together that goes beyond species-specific conservation goals.

Legacy Land Trust supports Issue 1A this November!

For many of us, the reason we have settled in Larimer County is the land, the amazing scenery, and its proximity to our everyday lives. November 4 is your chance to get behind county open land protection efforts. On the back of your ballot, you will find Larimer County Issue 1A (Continue protecting our natural areas, open spaces, rivers, and wildlife habitats). Legacy Land Trust endorses the passage of this open space ballot measure, and we encourage you to vote YES.

Issue 1A continues the 1/4 cent Help Preserve Open Space sales tax first passed overwhelmingly by voters in 1995. Since the measure was first passed, much has been accomplished!
