Events & Photo Gallery
Legacy Land Trust hosts three major fundraising events each year, and a variety of smaller events as well. In 2011 we launched a new August tradition—the Field to Fork dinner, featuring live music and showcasing local foods and local restaurants! The event, held at beautiful Grant Family Farms, also had silent and live auctions, games and tours of the farm. Our autumn art show event, Legacy Landscapes, featured local artists’ work in oils, clay, watercolor, textiles, wood and other media. Legacy Night brought John Fielder to the Embassy Suites in Loveland, where the noted photographer talked about GoCO projects he was photographing. A meet-the-artist reception was offered to the public.

Weather permitting, we offer small scale workshops and special opportunities to hike or birdwatch on select easement properties. We host guided fieldtrips with picnic lunches, and offer in-town evening get-togethers with slideshows of recently conserved lands and socializing.

Meet the landowner: Ever want to understand conservation from the landowner’s perspective? It is possible to join us on one of our annual field visits to certain protected properties as part of the regular monitoring program. This is an opportunity to understand more about stewardship practices, and gain unique insight into the tapestry of stories comprising the conservation easement movement. Not a bad way to spend a day or two outdoors on some of the most scenic properties in northern Colorado! Contact K-Lynn for one of these opportunities.

Come join us at one or all of these fabulous gatherings – watch the Newsletter for details.
